I spent a wonderful afternoon down at the Jersey Shore yesterday trying to soak up some sun during my last free days of summer. While relaxing on the beach I perused a book by one of my favorite garden experts P. Allen Smith. One thing that I learned that I wanted to share with everyone is about enjoying your garden at night. Since we often spend summer nights outside, having dinner and talking with friends; it is important we design our gardens to be appealing when the sun goes down as well. One way to achieve a glowing look in a twilight garden is by planting or having containers of silver-gray foliage and flowering plants in pastels and white. These color will reflect the moonlight and give some nice color to your night time setting.
